I am using Photoshop CS2 to make this painting, and the tutorial file itself.
This tutorial is based off the progress of "Picking a fight"
This is the second tutorial I have ever made, since my first one is based on "Forcefield Barrier" and it sucks. It's lost somewhere in an old forums site: Snapester Toons. I reccommend you not to look at that one but at this one, which is something I put up together 2 days ago.
It's not perfect, its not the way how I even wanted it to be. Hopefully, this'll serve as a pretty good reference when you guys come into speed painting
This is more of a step by step than a detailed tutorial.
My starting canvas was 1000px x 700 px which is pretty small, so i reccommend you to use a much larger one
Nice tutorial, thanks for sharing it with us! I think I did learn quite a few things, and I agree that mood plays a huge factor in how your artwork comes through.

I'm sorry if my comments are short or I only leave a , I appreciate art, but don't always feel I can critique it.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Why? I used to wonder.
Then I went to university, and learned how to not care.
Can I do that? *goes to try*
